![]() ![]() For this purpose SecuritySpy has Pre-capture and Post-capture features. Video from both before and after a motion event, even though the motion is not high enough to trigger recording, often holds something interesting happening in the video that is worth capturing. The captured image files can be optionally uploaded to a remote computer or web server via FTP so that footage can be viewed on the Internet and/or held safe at a remote location. The video itself is captured as standard QuickTime movies which can then be accessed by practically all video software on the Mac. SecuritySpy compresses captured video in MPEG-4 codec, and still images are saved in JPEG format. The SecuritySpy software includes a timelapse capture feature which can be used to maintain constant capture that is not linked to motion detection 24 hours a day. The sensitivity of the motion detection feature can be adjusted by the user for optimum output and detection of motion can be set to all or only part of the video image. SecuritySpy features highly optimized motion detection, allowing each camera to be set up to capture video and/or still image files when motion is detected.
